Counselling & Psychotherapy Melbourne
In-Person & Online Sessions
Hi, I’m Jackie
I’m the founder of Morrow Endeavour Counselling & Psychotherapy. I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, and identify as Asian-Australian. With over 10 years experience providing counselling in various mental health settings, I’ve discovered my passion in working with RELATIONSHIPS - that is, relationship with oneself, and relationship with the world and others.
Many clients come to me with a wide range of challenges, internal conflicts and defense mechanisms. However, almost always, when we explore the roots of their pain, it leads back to relational trauma or attachment wounding that occurred during their formative years.
Whether you are an individual seeking to cultivate a secure and meaningful relationship with yourself, or you and your partner are wanting to build a loving and supportive relationship, I am here to support you.

How Relational Trauma & Attachment Wounds Manifest In Our Lives:
Relationship with Self: A harsh inner critic, feelings of shame, fear of vulnerability, and difficulty with self-acceptance.
Interpersonal Relationships: Issues such as a lack of boundaries, low tolerance for mistakes, high expectations of others to meet their needs, repeated experiences of being misunderstood by others, and a lack of trust in people.
People-Pleasing and Perfectionism: Engaging in people-pleasing behaviours or striving for perfection as a way to gain approval and avoid rejection.
Activation of Younger Parts: Younger child parts being activated and projected, either internally or outwardly in relationships.
Self and Other Awareness: Challenges in understanding and reflecting on thoughts, emotions, desires, and attitudes in oneself and others.
Emotional Dysregulation: Difficulty managing emotions, leading to intense emotional reactions or emotional numbness, often a response to unresolved relational trauma.
Chronic Anxiety or Depression: Persistent feelings of anxiety or depression.
Trust and Intimacy Issues: Difficulty forming or maintaining close relationships due to fear of abandonment or rejection.
Body-Mind Connection: Somatic symptoms such as chronic pain, fatigue, or gastrointestinal issues .
Somatic Psychotherapy
If you’ve ever heard the phrase “the body keeps the score,” you may already be familiar with somatic therapy.
Somatic therapy, sometimes known as body psychotherapy, is a therapeutic approach that places importance on what we experience in the mind and the body, as well as the connection between the two.
“Somatic” itself means “of or relating to the body.”
This approach can help deepen a sense of connection to oneself and to others. It can improve body sensing, relieve stress, and balance the nervous system.
Somatic therapy can treat a broad range of issues including relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress and anxiety, anger management, childhood abuse, sexual assault, addiction, and so much more.
As an integrative therapist, I meet my clients where they’re at. This sees me integrating a range of therapeutic approaches alongside somatic practices, such as Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and more. I also incorporate somatic practices when working with couples.
